So a kit eh? Well, I have in my posession a neck blank which is the twin to the neck blank that Kevin used on the African charity guitar he built last spring for his trip to Africa. It would seem fitting that it end up in a kit to be auctioned to bless Kevin. I was going to use it myself for a project, but this seems a better use for it. I will post a pic asap.

truss rod
fret wire
nut
saddle (you need a 1/8" saddle for that bridge)
binding (I would suggest BRW to match the bridge)
purflings
Something for a rosette
Strings

I'll add the fretwire, nut and saddle (and the rest if needed but should let others participate as well!) We'll need a head and tale block as well....I have it in spruce or hondurus if nobody else has it.

I've got some nice curved blue abalone strips for a rosette I'm happy to throw in, if someone tells me where to post it to.

So will there be some sort of update as to what is being auctioned off.

The whole kit I'm hoping.

It's going to take some time to get pics of the neck blank. It's burried in a sea of wood in my shop, and I'll be off for an all-day trip for the NEL meeting at John Osthoff's today.

I know it's not normally part of a kit, but can I donate a Simple CenterLine Finder? Maybe it doesn't go with this, and if not, I also have a very nice smaller sized Brazilian Rosewood Bridge Blank 1/2" x 2" x 7 1/4". Get well soon Kevin, we are all pulling for you!

I'll donate 12 purfling strips. they are 10/40/10 (black/curly maple/black)
respectively. That's enough for a backstrip, back, side and top purfling and
enough for a rosette as well.

Never met a man online I respect as much as Kevin- never met him in person- but he means a lot to me. Of course there are others I feel similar about, but they are not in Kevin's situation.

I'll do a headstock inlay for the winner.
NO fretboard- just the headstock, but up to around a $500.00 or so value- if it something I am into I'll most likely throw away the price limit. I rather it be something special with a theme, not really just lettering etc... more like my normal stuff, but it's all relative.

Timing will have to work within my means and backlog.
It this O.K?

Do you think there's a possibility of so much getting contributed that it'll
outprice the bidders?

Is this still ending on Wednesday? It would be good to push it back since
the listing doesn't seem to be completed yet.

Tony's finishes are about $350 or so. I think this would be a great thing to add.

Do we have bindngs for this yet? I still think a set of dark brw bindings would look excellent.
